Cascaid Health
Cascaid Health is a health and performance clinic. I worked with them to build a 0-1 interactive medical report experience — a scalable B2B2C solution designed to support Cascaid and its partner labs.
Traditional medical reports are static PDFs that are hard to interpret and act on. Our interactive reports transform complex clinical findings into a clear, actionable experience, empowering patients with understandable insights while driving higher follow-up conversions for healthcare providers.

Current State
Traditional PDF reports are widely used by labs and clinics to provide patients with imaging, blood work and scan results

Users described the reports as dense and mentally exhausting to interpret medical jargon, graphs and numbers. The focus was on clinical accuracy instead of user needs.

The business metric that mattered most — bookings on recommended follow-ups — wasn’t being met. The report didn’t build confidence, clarity, or urgency to act.

There was no intuitive hierarchy of information, so critical insights didn’t stand out from supporting details. Patients couldn’t tell what was important, what was contextual, and what required action.

Accounting for the B2B2C business model
This product was being built to serve Cascaid's clinic and it's partner labs to improve their patient experience. Making this a B2C and a B2B2C product. I had to ensure that this product could scale easily.
My research included in-depth conversations with clinicians, patients & engineers this helped me map medical concepts and create a framework that scales instead of static reports for one use case.
Framing Opportunity
How might we design a report framework that is easy to understand and drives action without overwhelming users
Complex → Simple
Unactionable → Actionable
Fragmented → Guided
Design Iterations
I went through multiple rounds of iteration and usability testing with patients to test that we are meeting user needs, clinicians to validate clinical accuracy, tech & data team to ensure feasibility and finally stakeholders and legal to ensure compliance needs.
Final Designs
The final design focuses on clarity and action. The landing page surfaces the key result upfront, highlights the findings that require attention, and uses humane language with an accessible call-to-action. Information is progressively disclosed to inform without overwhelming, with education woven into the context of each result. Persuasive nudges and a streamlined scheduling flow were intentionally designed to improve follow-up rates.
The onboarding primes users to understand and act: it teaches how to interpret the results, clarifies next steps, and prepares them to schedule follow-ups instead of feeling confused or overwhelmed.
Themes in Design System
Built on top of ANT design system, easy to customise based on each lab’s branding needs. Setting up themes allows us to change branding quickly and easily.
Scales for Report Types
Structure was made to scale for various report types. Here’s an example of the same page for a mammogram report vs a blood report
Outcomes
We shipped the designs to production, now used by ~500 patients daily. The initial concepts I designed also helped secure new lab partnerships, directly contributing to revenue and funding. While the primary KPI is still being monitored, early data shows a ~10% lift in conversions post-launch. Usability testing revealed than ~90% users understand key findings and next steps after re-design.
“In a hyper-agile environment with constantly moving pieces, Gauri emerged as a transformative force who fundamentally shifted how our team approached user-centered design.
What sets Gauri apart is her remarkable ownership mentality. She doesn’t just design interfaces—she drives user-centric culture across entire organizations. She successfully influenced stakeholders toward deeper user understanding, rigorous research practices, and comprehensive ecosystem thinking. Her ability to rapidly validate assumptions through smart prototyping and testing helped us define what exceptional user experience looks like in our competitive landscape.
Beyond her technical excellence, Gauri is the collaborative leader who elevates everyone around her while delivering measurable results. Any organization would be fortunate to have her driving their product design and research efforts.”
